“It is not death that a man should fear, but he should fear never beginning to live.”
Marcus Aurelius
You’ve likely heard the saying “this too shall pass." It’s meant to be comforting during difficult times. But here’s the flip side to these four words that often goes unnoticed: the good times also come to pass. Your childhood, relationships, career highs and lows, money, power, fame, success, everything comes to pass, including you!
It doesn't matter if you're a billionaire or broke, famous or forgotten, saint or sinner, you come to pass. Your bank account, your social media following, your job title—none of it matters in the end. We all return to the same earth, leaving only memories and imprints behind us.
Death may be the one equalizer. Why? Because when you die, everyone becomes just another “body.” And here are a few things that morticians will say about you and me and everyone they touch:
"We're waiting for the coroner to release the body."
"The body will be ready for viewing tomorrow morning."
"We're moving the body to the church."
"We'll need to reposition the body before the service."
"The body will remain in our care until the service."
"We'll lower the body into the ground after the ceremony."
"The body needs to be at the church by 10 a.m."
"The family has made arrangements for the body to be released."
These words are not meant to discourage, but to free you from everything standing between you and putting wings on your dreams, regardless of how big or small.
Nothing is promised to any of us except death. None of us knows when the undertaker will show up to haul our body away. We are not guaranteed tomorrow, or tonight, or even the next hour. All we have is this moment, right now, as you read these words. So it makes sense to make every moment count.
So what are you waiting for to live your best life? What dreams are you deferring? What experiences are you saving for tomorrow, retirement, or some day in the distant future?
Living your best life is like learning your ABCs:
· Accept that you are going to die!
· Boldly pursue your passions!
· Choose authenticity over approval!
The clock is ticking. Be Well!

It's something we always think will happen much later but Death ain't on a time clock. We gotta live while we can and still be prepared for the moment known as our expiration.
This post is a true nugget for Life's treasure chest. Much appreciated reminder to remain in the moment, and live it infinitely.
