“A grateful mind is a great mind which eventually attracts to itself great things.” Plato
Life is becoming amazingly interesting since I started updating my small change book. Part of the excitement comes from tuning in to my inner voice—what I call “OG (O’Great) Spirit” (you might call it God, Divine Energy, or some other name that feels right for you) - I’m allowing it to guide me, and it’s making this part of my writing journey even more rewarding. I’m actually humming a grateful tune, so this week I’ll begin previewing new edition topics – beginning with grateful living!
My writing dream first surfaced when I was nine years old, but the older I got, the less I felt like a naturally gifted writer. What I do bring to the table are my strengths as an organizer, a curious learner, and someone who loves developing new ideas. I’m methodical, great at prioritizing and maximizing productivity, which enables me to coordinate tasks seamlessly.
While my talents have afforded me a fulfilling career in health promotion as a leader and wellness coach, they’re only part of what I need to be a great storyteller. But OG Spirit knows I have some compelling stories to tell; therefore, I will not abandon my passion. I can’t in good conscience deny myself the opportunity to combine my gifts with my “blessons” and possibly help others overcome challenges and put wings on their dreams.
Here is one thing I’ve discovered on this journey of grateful living: My persistent desire to write is a sign that I’m meant to do it, or something equally as good or better will take its place. Either way, I will not be defeated!
As I update the small change book with the sole purpose of improving health outcomes one person at a time, I’m delighted to share more reasons to embrace the small change Top 10 DAILY Countdown to Wellness Tips; tips to empower you to live your best life. I’ll highlight a tip each week for the next ten weeks, starting at the top: 10 things you're grateful for, and why it’s important to start a Gratitude Journal.
