Thanksgiving Blessings!

Gratitude can transform common days into thanksgivings, turn routine jobs into joy, and change ordinary opportunities into blessings.        William Arthur Ward

3 Guaranteed Ways to Enjoy the "Spirit of Thanksgiving" all Year Long:

1) COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS!

Start a gratitude list and make counting your blessings a ritual. It's simple: at the beginning or end of each day, list the people, places, and things you are grateful for. Blessing you to count your blessings!

2) MAKE YOUR BLESSINGS COUNT!

For the next 52 weeks, perform one Random Act of Kindness each week! Random acts of kindness not only benefit the receiver; they also help the giver. They provide you with a sense of purpose. They reduce stress. Focusing on someone else's needs can be a healthy distraction from personal problems. Random acts of kindness often set off chain reactions by encouraging others to do the same, thereby enriching lives far beyond your immediate reach. And lastly, the "helper's high" you feel when you do something kind for others lasts a lifetime. Blessing you to make your blessings count!

3) LET YOUR PRAYERS BE “BLESSING PRAYERS!”

A few years back, I came across a book that changed the way I prayed. Pierre Pradervand's The Gentle Art of Blessing: A Simple Practice That Will Transform You and Your World describes a blessing as genuinely wishing the best for another person by seeing their worth and honoring them. The book shifted my prayers from negative to positive. Whether praying for myself, others, or unfavorable situations, I keep it positive by focusing on the good that person has to offer and blessing more of it to prevail.

There is no begging in blessing prayers; they are just the opposite. They give you hope and fill you with thanksgiving as you recognize and appreciate the innate good in all human beings, regardless of the circumstances. Blessing you to choose one person or situation in need of prayer and each day moving forward, grace them with a blessing prayer!

Blessing you with the "Spirit of Thanksgiving" that lasts a lifetime!
